re:Home made grill - 2006/07/11 00:05
There is something very interesting I've seen one day and thought to myself I must build it. Didn't try it, though it looked a superb idea. I wonder what people think of it.
The thing was a tube, say 3 feet high, 1 feet in diameter. On the top there was a fine metal grill where you put the meat on. Something like 2-6 inches bellow there was another crude metal grill, on which you place the coals on. A bit lower than that, there was a small window with a slide, which allowed you to adjust the amount of oxygen the coals get, and thus the inside temperature (the heat is rising and the air was sucked in from the window). At the bottom there was something like a drawer to which the ash and too-small-coals fell and you could easily get rid of the ash.
On the top there was a cover you could close for BBQ, and there was also small device which you could set the height of the meat-grill on.
Sounds complicated but the thing is THE MACHINE for bbq and grilling.
