1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped Salt 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed & squeezed dry 1 (15 to 16 oz.) Ricotta cheese 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated 1/2 tsp. dried basil 2 eggs 12 lasagna noodles 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese teaspoon salt until browned. Drain fat. In bowl, mix spinach, Ricotta, basil, eggs and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Set aside. Prepare noodles to package directions; drain. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spread 1 cup spaghetti sauce in 12 x 8-inch baking dish. Lay a noodle flat on work surface; spread 1/12th portion of spinach mixture on. Top with ground beef. Roll noodle up and place roll upright in dish so filling shows. Repeat with remaining noodles and filling. Spoon remaining sauce over and around rolls. Sprinkle rolls with Mozzarella cheese. Cover and bake 50 to 60 minutes until hot and bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes for easier serving.

I gave these only as reference points which I should have explained. Here is an actual crock pot lasagna recipe that you can easily modify for the cooked pasta. The only problem with pasta in a crock pot (which I almost never do) is control of the amount of liquid and the risk of turning the pasta to mush. If you want to do a Tex-Mex then I would lose the spinach and add strips of diced green chilies and spike the tomato sauce with chili powder or better yet use red enchilada sauce. 1 lb. ground beef 1 onion, chopped 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 12 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese 12 oz. cottage cheese 12 oz. tomato paste 1/2 c. water 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper water. Brown ground beef and drain. Mix all ingredients well and put into greased crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours or high for 3 hours. *You may add more seasonings to suit your own taste such as oregano or Italian seasonings.

This one sounds like what I had in mind. Adding a couple of ingredients - say cumin and cilantro maybe. I wondered about the pasta in the crockpot , too. Kate

    pot; always baked.
The lasagne noodles are cooked until nearly done. I fill them with the same meat mixture I`d use for pan lasagne, and have only tomato sauce ready (I don`t use the normal bechamel with this).
The noodles are topped with the meat filling and rolled up. They are placed end up in a greased bakig dish and the sauce poured over. Baked at about 350 F until the sauce is bubbling, then the cheese is put on top.
I suppose you could do the same thing and fill the crockpot with sauce. Hand the cheese round separately.
Why does this have to be in a crock pot?
