    fig wood for smoking

    hi folks just curious to see if anyone has ever used fig wood for smoking. various sources say it`s safe to use, just not sure what it tastes like. i have quite a few fig trees which need a bit of a trimming... and how would one season this, just leave it in a semi-sheltered area until next year?

    the wood is as big around as your leg, no reason to season.
