    Hello,

    New to the BBQ world, i bought a traeger grill a year ago and love it and wanted to join in on the fun and ideas

    I have been reading lots of good info on here.
    I smoked a pork roast over the weekend in the traeger and man oh man was it tasty. I did learn something new that if you put water inside the grill or any grill when smoking that it helps to keep the meat moist. I smoked a whole chicken a while back and did the same thing and it made the world of difference. NO DRY CHICKEN.

    Yes, that's right. Water sure keeps the moist inside the meat.

    (this is off topic but if you put water in your oven at home while baking a cake it also helps prevent the cake from becoming too dry )

    I'm happy you like the forum. What's your favorite rub for grilled chicken?
