    Smoking a Whole Hog

Hello, I am new to this forum, I am looking for some advice. I am going to attempt to smoke a whole hog in my trailer mounted smoker. This hog is going to be about 100 to 125 Lbs dressed weight. Anyone have any advice on cooking times, preparation, methods, injections, rubs? Anyone have any good website links, or information resources they could share? I am going to be doing this July25th, so I don't have a lot of time, any help anyone can give would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Barron, welcome to the forum. I hope you will like it here

I think you will need about 60 pounds of charcoal briquettes or hardwood burned down to coals, the cooking time will lay around the 10 hours and start at about 170degr. F.
